5. THE PHYSICS OF DRY ICE
Finally, you should have received a package last week from Penelope, I hope the dry ice worked out. She was sooo excited that the juniper berries had come in this season, so she, knowing how you love them, wanted more than anything to make some juniper iced cream for you and send it your way. I told her, well I attempted to explain the physics of dry ice and the mediocre insulating qualities of styrofoam and the great distance the ice cream must travel, and the - shall we say - shortcomings of our national postal and parcel services, but alas she simply insisted to send it your way, and who was I to deny her that. After all, desperate times call for measures which are commensurate in their degree of desperation.
On that, dear Hank, I'm off to the spa.
Yours,
G Peterso
